POLICE say four men who have been shot outside a home in Sydney's west are known to them.
The men, aged between 20 and 25, were gunned down outside the Smithfield residence just after 8pm (AEST) on Friday.
Around 15 bullet holes were found in a garage door at the property.
The men have been taken to hospital for non-life threatening injuries including gunshot wounds to the stomach and leg.
A number of Nomad bikies were seen in the area after the incident, according to Fairfax Radio Network.
Police say the men are known to them but they don't appear to have any links to bikie-gangs.
They say they believe the incident was a targeted attack.
The Horsley Drive has been closed between Wetherill Street and Gibbs Street as PolAir and the DogUnit canvass the area for clues.
